NYC Hotel Reviews for Hotel Wales
“Best NYC lodging experience. Ever.”
I’ve stayed at more opulent places. Certainly more expensive and more hip places but never have I had my expectations exceeded like this. Its old fashioned, classic and roomy. Quiet (where else does that happen in the city?) and wonderful. Great restaurants below. As lovely as it was for a romantic getaway, it has excellent facilities for business meetings.

“Stayed at the Hotel Wales on a recent visit to NYC”
The hotel is in a great location on the Upper East Side, a short walk from Central Park and near the great art museums. Coffee and tea are always available, and the room was clean and comfortable. There was a table and good lighting for working, too! I would definitely like to stay here again.

“Love the Wales”
Small hotel in a stellar neighborhood, short walk to art museums, locally popular restaurants and a great little bookstore. Staff is friendly and quickly helpful with any needs. I love the old fashioned ambiance, secure for solo female travelers and comfortable for family stays.

“Great little hotel”
This is a go-to hotel. Very near Mt. Sinai and walking distance to Guggenheim and Met. Rooms can be very tiny but adequate with good showers and very comfy beds. Suites are spacious and retain old woodwork and fireplaces (not working but pretty). Staff is accommodating and get to know their regulars. It is very quiet, even the rooms that front Madison Ave. they get room service from Sarabeth’s East, a respectable restaurant chain. The restaurant shares the building and has an entrance within the hotel; serves all three meals. They have shower caps among their toiletries; there are four restaurants on the block and a good bodega two doors down. There isn’t much on the UES; this one is a gem.

“Comfortable boutique hotel.”
Excellent, room, location and staff. I go to this hotel several times a year. I stay here while visiting with my doctor at Mt. Sinai Hospital which is just a couple of blocks away. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. It's small and comfortable. Surrounded by many good restaurants and near the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Has a great room serving coffee and tea 24/7 and a beautiful roof garden in the good weather.

“Wonderful Stay in Carnegie Hill”
For New Year’s Weekend, my wife and I visited our son and daughter and their spouses, who live in Carnegie Hill on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We made a reservation at Hotel Wales and got a lovely suite with a view overlooking Central Park. We had stayed once before and enjoyed the hotel. We had a great experience at this boutique hotel again. The service was fantastic. Our room was quiet and luxurious. I loved the feel of a hotel that has been in operation for a hundred years but still feels fresh. I found the 24 hour coffee and tea in the Second Floor common area perfect for our needs. We had enjoyed the roof sitting area last time we visited in the summer, and this indoor sitting area was a perfect place to hang out if one wants to be out of her room or to have visitors outside the room. We also ate a fantastic breakfast at Sarabeth's. What a great restaurant to have on premises. We’ll make Hotel Wales our regular home away from home when we visit the kids in NYC.
